MARTIN DOW

My name is Martin Dow and I am from Bathgate. I have been a massage therapist since the beginning of 2011 and enjoy every minute of it! This is because every client has a different injury or muscle tightness, which makes my job really interesting.

Before training in massage I was working in the building industry, doing roofing for 17 years. I stumbled on my new career because I hurt my back many years ago and suffered with chronic back pain. After trying all kinds of therapy I came across a  Sports Massage therapist who got me back on my feet and pain free in just 4 massage treatments. So after looking into massage courses in depth, my journey began with Scottish Massage Schools and their Diploma in Swedish Massage.

I enjoy keeping fit, running and working out in the gym - this helps me look after myself as massage can be quite physically demanding, depending on the client’s injury. I’m excited about working in at Sky and look forward to meeting you.
