No Smoking Day - Established in 1983, No Smoking Day works to support smokers who want to quit. The charity does this by raising awareness of the Day, which takes place on the second Wednesday in March every year, and by highlighting the many sources of help available for quitters. Bowell Cancer Awareness - April 2011 was Bowel Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM). Men & Women across the UK were encouraged to be aware of the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer and to act on their concerns, sooner rather than later.
